Christy Curtis Jones

Christy Curtis Jones graduated with honors from the College of Charleston, earning a B.A. in History, and received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. She was an Associate Articles Editor for the South Carolina Law Review and a member of the Order of the Wig & Robe. Christy currently concentrates her practice in the areas of regulatory compliance, collections, and foreclosure.

Ms. Jones is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the Richland County Bar, and she is admitted to practice before the South Carolina Federal Court. She has served as the 11th Judicial Circuit’s Representative to the SC Bar Young Lawyers Division, earning a Star of the Quarter in 2009, and also served on the Bar’s Committee on Professional Potential.

As a regular speaker at multiple Credit Union Leagues and for the national association of America’s Credit Unions, Christy has enjoyed meeting credit union professionals from across the country. In addition to her private practice, Christy has worked as an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina School of Law, teaching Legal Writing and Research to first-year law students. She has also served on the School Improvement Council for Dreher High School.

In 2023, Governor Henry McMaster appointed Christy to the SC Drought Response Committee for the Central Drought Management Area. She is a member of The Rotary Club of Five Points and the Columbia Junior League. Christy attends Shandon United Methodist Church, and along with her husband, enjoys time with their children and their basketball, baseball, tennis, and surfing.
