Christy Curtis Jones graduated with honors from the College of Charleston, earning a B.A. in History, and received her J.D. from the University of South Carolina School of Law. She was an Associate Articles Editor for the South Carolina Law Review and a member of the Order of the Wig & Robe. Christy currently concentrates her practice in the areas of creditor/debtor rights, bankruptcy, collections, foreclosure, and regulatory compliance.
Christy is a member of the South Carolina Bar and South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association and is admitted to practice before the South Carolina Federal Court, District of South Carolina. She serves as the 11th Judicial Circuit Representative to the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division and has been appointed to the Bar’s Committee on Professional Potential. Christy is a regular speaker at multiple Credit Union Leagues, including South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Louisiana, Ohio, Iowa, Utah, and Wisconsin. She has served as an adjunct professor at the University of South Carolina School of Law, teaching legal writing to first year students.
